Name Craze(iness) (Again!)

I know it was only three posts ago that I debuted the name we had chosen for our mei mei. I was certain that we had finally found "the one". For some reason, however, the name is just not sitting well with me now. We are back at the drawing board. And my husband is seeking mental health help. For both of us.

Kate,
I am smiling, because I know this name game so well!
Jeff and I had named Ruby, Addison... I loved the name Addy and thought it would be perfect.... Then one of my girlfriends named her daughter Addison six months before our referral... Back to the drawing board and a very proficient spread sheet of names. We would drive to the lake and vote on what we liked. I loved Ivey, and Jeff and Ainsley said it was too organic? So finally we put it on hold and we had absolutely no name for Ruby when we got her paperwork. Now I know that is exactly how God intended it. Her Chinese name of Meng Ru, and her finding person's name gave us everything we needed for Ruby Mei... It was like we got a blue print for what God intended her name to be. OK - long story.. But, I just want you to know that you will pick the perfect name for her, at the very perfect time! Blessings while you wait for Mei Mei!
-Diana

I figured we'd just secretly take change the name on the header ;)

You know which names I like. Are you going to post about the names here?

I was going to say that your thoughts might change once you see your daughter. Diana is right. You will pick the perfect name in the perfect time.

I had to delete my comment and start over... my spelling was atrocious! Anyway, have you seen Shana's pregnancy blog? http://thekittenwithin.blogspot.com/2008/04/20-weeks.html There are hundreds of comments with beautiful name suggestions. Mine was "Millie", because I love it. Lia is such a great name, that you are off to a good start. Maybe "Libby"... two L's! ;) Are you doing a 100 wishes quilt for your girls? If so, I have a square for you!

Bless you! Deciding on a name is a BIG DEAL! You have the right to change your mind a million times before you settle on the perfect name. Of course, I love Jillian like someone else suggested ;)

Aren't you sneaky??? I almost sent you something mongrammed to celebrate since your sweetie has a name. I guess I don't feel so bad that ours doesn't have one yet. I was just talking to someone else this week who was questioning her choice, too. If you're not convinced you like the one you chose, that's okay. You will come up with something together for all the right reasons...

For now her monogram can be TBD with an M of course...

Love,
Lisa

Boy am I glad someelse is having a hard time with names. We have two Birth son's and (I know it sounds coo coo) but they named themselves. When I heard their name it just sounded right like they were telling me what they wanted their name to be. Every girl name I hear I don't like. I am hoping as things get closer she will let me know what her name is.
As time goes by when you heard the name you will know that it is the right name for her.

Whatever you choose will be perfect because she is your daughter! I love the whole naming process -I love Shae but if you change your mind, I cannot wait to see what the Lord lays on your heart:)

I always loved those conversations Rob and I would have about names - we still talk about it and wonder if perhaps there is another little person destined to be in our family!???!

Havea blessed weekend.
Love,
Heather

I'm right there with you, sister sue.

I've been second guessing my name choice too. I love, love, love Kate...so I'm pretty sure that's what we are going with, but the middle name is a toss up.

Jillian is cute!

Kate,

You have plenty of time to pick the right name. I know you will pick the perfect name. I have some names I like but none that I LOVE. I am hoping something will jump out at me soon. Tell Jim it's a woman's prerogative to change her mind ;)
